So… I finally did it. I made my first YouTube video. Honestly, it felt way less glamorous than I imagined. I kept thinking, I don’t know about this one… the whole way through. But at some point you just have to start.
I learned a lot real quick. Editing takes way longer than you think, and not everything has to be “perfect” to be watchable. I also realized I was overthinking things nobody else will even notice. (Like, is that sound effect a hair late? Probably. Will anyone care? Probably not.)
Okay, I have a confession to make: I didn’t actually record my own voice. I let an AI do the talking. I’m not super comfortable hearing myself recorded yet, and the thought of a million takes sounded exhausting. With AI, I could just feed in the script and it was done. Plus, cloning my voice and playing with the settings was actually kind of fun.
